DelonJobs is recruiting a Sales Team Lead, Special Risk for a leading insurance company based in Lagos, Nigeria. This role is ideal for experienced insurance marketing professionals with strong leadership capabilities and deep knowledge of special risk products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth and market visibility for Special Risk insurance portfolios, working closely with brokers, corporate clients, and internal technical teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

Role highlights:

Lead and grow the Special Risk Marketing team

Drive business growth across Oil & Gas, Aviation, Marine, Engineering, and related risks

Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies

Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships

Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and technical teams

Mentor and coach team members for high performance


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in insurance marketing

At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role

Strong understanding of special risk insurance products

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Proven leadership and strategic marketing experience
