💡 What Your Machinery Breakdown Policy Doesn’t Cover — And Why by ExplicitTeejay(m): Sun Jul 2025 09:11pm

🔧 Understanding Machinery Breakdown Insurance (MBI) Exclusions

Not all machinery failures are insurable — and here's why.

Many exclusions under MBI stem from risks that are avoidable, foreseeable, or outside the scope of accidental damage. From wear and tear to lack of maintenance, intentional misuse to pre-existing defects — these are not sudden or unforeseen events, and therefore not covered.

Similarly, damages caused by war, nuclear risks, overloading, or transit fall under different insurance scopes like property, marine, or are considered uninsurable due to their catastrophic nature.

Knowing what’s not covered helps policyholders manage risk better and avoid unpleasant surprises during claims. Let’s keep learning and growing in this space.
