Insure Africa is pleased to spotlight a remarkable career opportunity with Ark Insurance Group — a leading name in the African insurance space — as they search for a visionary Head of Human Resources to join their executive team in Lagos.

This full-time position reports directly to the Managing Director and is designed for a seasoned HR professional who is ready to drive transformative impact across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping HR strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and aligning human capital with business objectives in a way that fosters both operational efficiency and employee well-being.

The role goes beyond traditional HR management — it demands someone with foresight, a heart for people, and the strategic capacity to navigate the complexities of talent in a fast-evolving business landscape.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Designing and executing HR strategies that support the company’s mission and goals.
• Providing leadership and mentorship to HR teams across all business units.
• Managing the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes.
• Ensuring strict compliance with both local and international labor laws.
• Crafting innovative talent acquisition strategies to bring in top-tier professionals.
• Implementing succession planning and leadership development frameworks.
• Overseeing compensation and benefits programs aligned with industry standards.
• Analyzing workforce trends to guide organizational planning and decision-making.
• Advising executive leadership on HR and organizational development issues.
• Championing employee engagement, training, and wellness initiatives.
• Promoting a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture.

Qualifications Required:
• A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in complex or multinational environments.
• Recognized professional certification (CIPM or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of HR policies, labor legislation, and current best practices.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• A track record of driving culture transformation and HR innovation.
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools, with demonstrated digital fluency.
